CSW61 Youth Declaration

Ahead of the 61st session of the Commission on the Status of Women, more than 650 young leaders convened to discuss emerging challenges and opportunities for girls and young women – in partnership with young men, persons of all genders and generations – to achieve gender equality, justice, economic empowerment, and sustainable development for all persons, leaving no one behind. They produced a Youth Declaration that was presented to the ministers attending CSW. The declaration calls for full and meaningful youth participation, the recognition that gender is not binary, the engagement of young men, inter-generational partnerships and investment in youth friendly programs and services.
