Protection and A Way to Justice

Two films focus on men’s engagement in HIV & AIDS prevention, women’s rights and gender transformation.

A Way to Justice (directed by William Nessen, produced by Dean Peacock) focuses on four personal stories, each an individually told tale of struggle in the face of overwhelming challenges, personal transformation and inspired work for the good. Each story is about transcending internalised powerlessness, transforming gender norms and breaking through cultural barriers to work for a healthier community.

Protection is a film about condom-use as a strategy to help men and boys avoid HIV-infection. Set in South Africa, Keny and Sierra Leone, Protection shows how men and boys address the challenges of using condoms. It’s a resource for HIV-awareness work and to get men thinking about and discussing condoms and strategies to protect against or cope with the virus in their lives.
