MenEngage Africa is part of the Global MenEngage Alliance of non-governmental organisations and United Nations (UN) agencies that work to engage men and boys to achieve gender equality. Formed in 2006, the MenEngage Africa network works in partnership to promote the engagement of men and boys in achieving gender equality, preventing HIV, promoting human rights and reducing violence at all levels across the continent, including questioning the structural barriers to gender inequalities. This African regional network has a regional steering committee, a youth advisory committee and country networks.
