UN Women: Perspectives from Pakistani Rights Activists

This document outlines the key recommendations from a National Consultation that was held in Islamibad on the 8th of September with the Civil Society Aliance (CSA), a group of women’s right activists and 12 NNGOs that was formed to support the Government of Pakistan and Civil Society’s advocacy efforts to influence UN decisions about the evolving structure and mandate of UN Women. The recommendations include how UN Women should be structued and function through regional and country-level offices, its mandate, financial architecture and interaction with civil society.
