C FOR C – Capacity-Building for Communities

C for C is a Malagasy NGO working on gender justice and economic empowerment for women. Created in 2007, C for C is working in five regions of Madagascar to create a better future for women and to tackle gender-based violence by working with men and boys as allies.

C- For-C beleives that women and girls deserve better future and peaceful environment to leave in.

  • The NGO «C for C», was created in 2007, the mission was to enhance and promote the craft industry of Madagascar. At these beginnings «C for C» was recognized as an «Association of Craftsmen», this association which had the activity of exporting crafts from Madagascar to abroad.

    In 2007, the denomination «Association» was changed to NGO, as the activities have evolved, and the missions and objectives, are more appropriate to the needs of the target groups.

    Currently “C for C” or Capacity Building For Communities, works in the promotion and capacity building of micro entrepreneurs. C-For-C also works in the promotion of human rights, and in the fight against gender-based violence.

    Mission: The missions of the NGO «C for C» are (1) capacity building of vulnerable communities for an economic empowerment of the NGO «C for C», works for the protection of the environment, and for the promotion raw materials coming from the country, for the sole benefit of the target groups. (2) Promote gender, raise awareness of the balance between «need», «resources» and «distribution of tasks» in order to enable women and children to live in a world of peace and justice.
