In 1996, Sahil was the only organization in Pakistan that worked exclusively on the issue of child sexual abuse and exploitation. Our Mission is to develop a protective environment for children free from all forms of violence, especially child sexual abuse. Our vision statement is "Har Bacha Mehfooz - Safe, Secure, and Protected".
Child Protection means addressing and preventing violence, abuse, neglect, exploitation, and discrimination affecting children. Child abuse is a phenomenon prevailing across all geographical boundaries, religions, and socio–economic classes.
As a national organization, we feel the obligation to provide a safe environment to the children with whom we are in contact. This obligation stems from the belief that every child has the right to enjoy an environment, which contributes to its growth fulfilling all their basic human rights as they are endorsed in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
