A strategic resource setting out our multi-year program, building on previous strategic plans and lessons from the 4‑year programs since 2009.
This Strategic Program has been shaped by:
- The voices and expertise of MenEngage Alliance’s membership and partners, including women’s rights and social justice activists and organisations.
- Our 2021 – 2024 Strategic Plan
- The Ubuntu Declaration and Call to Action—the key outcome document of the 3rd MenEngage Global Symposium (2021).
- Agenda 2030, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and other global human rights frameworks that support the realisation of women’s rights and gender justice within the broader context of social, economic and environmental justice and human rights. These include the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action and its annual reviews, CSW, CPD, Human Rights Council mechanism, High Level Political Forum (HLPF) among other regional and national human rights and inter-governmental mechanisms.
- Insights from our Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (PMEL) strategy, including MenEngage Global Alliance annual plans and reports.
- Our external progress evaluation for the period 2021 – 2024. The evaluation assessed the evolution, relevance, value add, and impacts/results of MenEngage Alliance. The Program is furthermore informed by the MenEngage Global Board’s strategy meetings in Stockholm, Sweden from 20 – 24 May 2024.
