Applications now open to join the Southwest Asia and North Africa (SWANA) MenEngage Network

We’re excited to announce that applications are now open to join the Southwest Asia and North Africa (SWANA) MenEngage Network, a new regional platform bringing together civil society organizations, activists, and youth leaders from across the region who are working to advance gender justice and engage men and boys as allies.

This initiative, hosted by ABAAD in collaboration with the Global MenEngage Alliance, will create a safe and inclusive space to exchange experiences, strengthen collective action, and amplify youth voices in the fight to end violence against women and challenge harmful gender norms.

The SWANA network will focus on:

• Preventing gender-based violence and promoting positive masculinities
• Building cross-border collaborations and co-learning spaces
• Supporting youth leadership and strategic regional advocacy
• Co-developing a regional strategy, Code of Conduct, and network bylaws
• Creating tools and campaigns that can be adapted and implemented nationally

What to Expect if Selected

• Join trainings on gender roles, positive masculinities, gender-transformative approaches, and safe referral of GBV cases
• Help shape the regional strategy and co-develop the network’s Code of Conduct and Bylaws
• Take part in regional campaigns and advocacy spaces
• Engage in the Youth Hub
• Contribute to the regional Ethics Committee (for interested members)

Who Can Apply

• Civil society organizations and NGOs based in the region
• Youth activists and women allies working on gender equality, GBV prevention, or engaging men and boys
• Organizations operating across multiple countries in the SWANA region and committed to gender justice
