Pakistan
MenEngage Pakistan is a growing network of NGOs, Pakistani agencies, and UN agencies working to prevent gender based violence through the active involvement of men and boys. The strategies of MenEngage Pakistan are aligned with the Global MenEngage strategies, including advocacy, research and mapping, capacity strengthening, and networking.
MenEngage Pakistan was established in as a follow up a regional consultation meeting held in Kathmandu-Nepal (January 2007). The Pakistan chapter of the MenEngage Alliance South Asia set a long term and short-term goal in the first meeting of MenEngage Alliance Pakistan held on the 21st of May 2007.
Since March 2021 the secretariat changed to MRDO (Movement for Rural Development Organization) working for equality, social justice and SRHR.
The secretariat of the network was has previously been held by Shirakat-Partnership for Development (from 2015-2021), AMAL Human Development Network, ROZAN (2011-2014, (2009-2011), the Musalihat Anjuman Project (GJTMAP) (2007-2009).
