Alex Nelson is a human rights advocate, researcher, and community organizer specializing in gender justice, masculinities, and youth engagement in global policy spaces.
As a former Fellow with Generation Human Rights, he authored The Right to Be Seen blog series, translating complex human rights concepts into accessible narratives, and conducted in-depth interviews with youth activists worldwide. He has also coordinated advocacy initiatives and led public dialogues through the NAMEN Chapter at Korbel — such as the Masculinities and Security in a Time of Backlash plenary — connecting feminist theory with policy and practice.
In his role as Research Assistant with the Diversity and Equity Inclusion Office at Korbel, Alex developed an extensive LGBTQ scholarly resource database and designed an innovative archive to expand inclusive curricula.
Grounded in qualitative research and skilled in coalition building, Alex is committed to advancing intersectional human rights approaches, fostering youth leadership, and reimagining power structures to create more equitable futures.
