Former board member of North America MenEngage Network (NAMEN)

Rob is former executive director of the Men’s Resource Center for Change, one of the earliest profeminist, anti-violence men’s centers in North America. His book, VOICE MALE: The Untold Story of the Profeminist Men’s Movement, is frequently used by activist organizations and at universities and other academic institutions.

A syndicated columnist with Peace Voice, Rob’s commentaries and op-eds have appeared in newspapers in dozens of states across the U.S. from New York to Texas, Arkansas to California, and have been featured in online publications from Ms. to Common Dreams, CounterPunch to LA Progressive. His writing on men and violence, and men and feminism have been featured in anthologies including MEN SPEAK OUT: Views on Gender, Sex and Power, as well as broadcast on public radio.

A longtime member of the global MenEngage Alliance, Rob is a former member of the steering committee of the Center for the Study of Men and Masculinities, and served for many years on the board of North America MenEngage Network (NAMEN). As editor emeritus of Voice Male, he works closely with the magazine’s new publisher, the Canadian-based NGO, Next Gen Men.
