Summary Report: MenEngage Alliance joins feminist movements at CSW69

A summary report of activities and impacts of MenEngage Alliance’s engagement at CSW69, March 2025

The 69th session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69) marked a pivotal moment for women’s rights and gender justice, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action (BDPfA). As the world assessed three decades of progress since the Fourth World Conference on Women, MenEngage Alliance members took part in-person and online at CSW69 in New York.

This report documents the collective work of MenEngage Alliance members taking part in CSW69 in relation to:

  • The significance of CSW69 for gender equality and feminist-informed work with men and boys.
  • Advocacy in National and Regional Preparatory Process Leading to CSW69
  • Developing Joint Agendas on Men & Masculinities

  • Negotiations on the Revitalization of the Commission on the Status of Women
  • Covening members for joint agenda setting on anti-patriarchal work to engage men and boys at the UN and beyond
  • Organizing high-level events and sessions to influence global policy and practice on engaging men and boys
