Key takeaways from the webinar:
7 Tips for calling men and boys in on gender equality through communication campaigns
Event Description
The rise of backlash against gender equality and the troubling trend of young men rejecting feminism have left many of us questioning: What communications messages and approaches can effectively inspire men and boys to join the movement for gender justice in positive and meaningful ways?
The Global Communications Working Group of MenEngage Alliance is excited to invite you to an upcoming webinar on Tuesday 25th March featuring two organizations with a track record of designing and implementing impactful communication and campaign strategies. These initiatives have successfully engaged men and boys as allies and advocate for gender justice.
What to expect:
White Ribbon Canada will be sharing how they create powerful videos that call on men and boys to reflect on, question, and challenge the gendered norms and ideas that form the foundations of social issues — especially those relating to violence against women and gender inequality.
Breakthrough Trust will share how you can take a strategic approach to social media to build an online following that can amplify and elevate positive messages. They will offer practical tips and practical knowledge on using social media to shift social norms around gender, including engaging men and boys as both agents of change and beneficiaries of gender equality.
These presentations will be followed by a Q&A, in which you will have the opportunity to ask the speakers your questions on developing powerful campaigns and communications strategies.
